Peabody Youth Girls Lacrosse (PYGL) is a girls youth lacrosse program and a member of the Founders Girls Lacrosse League (http://www.fgll.org).

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and our league has been growing every year since its inception.  Many of our players have gone on to have very successful high school and college lacrosse careers.

We are very excited about the future of the girls lacrosse program in the City of Peabody!

Generally, there are two practices per week with games on Sundays. Grades K-8 are generally divided into four age groups as follows:

GRADE

Grades K-2

Grades 3-4

Grades 5-6

Grades 7-8

All teams play as travel teams against other city and towns in the local area.

The goals of the PYGL Lacrosse Program is to have all participants develop an understanding and passion for the game of lacrosse. Emphasis will be placed on having all players learn the proper fundamental techniques needed to be successful in the sport. As the players reach the higher levels, competition will increase and the player will be taught more sophisticated offensive and defensive strategy.

Players at the Grades 5-6 and 7-8 level have the additional opportunity to be selected to play in an advanced “Select” program. The Select teams allow for increased fun and competition against other higher skilled programs, increasing the overall level for the town. Additional fees will apply if a player is selected.

We look forward to the continued growth and success of the Peabody Youth Girls Lacrosse Program!
